The NorthWest Women’s Chorale performs at 7 p.m., Friday, May 1 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 609 Taylor St., Port Townsend.
The group is hosted by the choral group Rainshadow Chorale, which is scheduled to sing one set.
The NorthWest Women’s Chorale, directed by Joy Lingerfelt with collaborative accompaniment by Kristin Quigley-Brye, sings about food, love and nature, from the tiniest bee to the galaxy.
“When we first decided to make a program that included music about things we love, we knew it would include food! But to make a program that we could really sink our teeth into, relish at each rehearsal, and then find the sweet sensations of our ‘just desserts,’ well, we decided that perhaps an entire concert about food would be … gluttonous,” Lingerfelt said. So we also have included music about nature, bees and, well, love. Still, it is a feast for all!”
